: My fellow Indy fans,
: I'm pretty sure we are all in agreement that the Indiana Jones
: character is one of the best action/adventure heroes of all times.
: So why are there so few decent Indy video games? I'm old enough
: to remeber the Raiders game for the Atari 2600, and I have always
: felt that it has been one of the video game industry's best attempts
: on an Indy game. TOD for the Nintendo and arcade was God-awful,
: while every Last Crusade attempt has been sub-par at best. Why
: is Indy treated this way? Don't even get me started on any of the
: laughably bad YIJC games! Man, I'm ranting like Mussolini on the
: balcony... sorry about that. But I'm sure some of you see my point.
: Any comments?

LucasArts is one of Lucasfilm's sister companies that makes the games for them. LucasArts is mostly creating Computer Games and in the past ten years they've made 4 Indiana Jones games (including Infernal Machine) for PC. IMHO the Last Crusade adventure game and the Fate of Atlantis adventure game were incredible. Especially Fate of Atlantis, introducing a whole new story. A few years ago LucasArts released an Indy game for SNES, but after that... no video games. hmm... Well LucasArts doesn't really make that much video games. Recently they've created a few more though... (eg. hadows of the Empire). Most LucasArts fans play their games on computers and they don't even create much games for consoles only. Infernal Machine is going to be released on Playstation btw. I'm not really a big fan of video games. Most people still use computers and I guess LucasArts doesn't want to create for consoles that don't have much users.
