First off -- I thought the Mummy Returns was fantastic, It was one of the most fun trips to the movies I have had in a long time. If it had been exactly like Indy, it would not have been. The CGI and goofiness are the movies hook. Like Indy's was the fast pace serial feel.

Second -- If Dundee is an inspired creation. I would guess it is based on Steve Irwin's dad. Who is also a pretty reknown Croc Hunter, but he is much more grizzeled looking, like Dundee...
