: I e-mailed Noel last night. In a nutshell, I said, "Now that I've completed my Indy gear collection I'm looking for gear from the 'Mummy' films" and asked if he had been involved. He wrote back and said that he searched his records, had never sold anything to me and had never shipped to my state. The last line said, bluntly, "No, I had nothing to do with the Mummy movies". Is this rude, or did he misunderstand me somewhere? I never said that I had purchased anything from him, I was just giving him an idea of where I was coming from. What do you guys think?

-- I have spoken to Noel twice when ordering Raiders trousers, shirt, belts, bag and LC tie. On both occasions he couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The gap between the two calls was about 9-10 months, and yet on calling the second time he knew exactly who I was and was able to say immediately where I came from, which impressed me greatly. The Xmas cards that he sends out to his customers (even one-time customers) have been acknowledged on this forum. They are written by the man personally. To me, the standards of his customer service are extremely high. So, to finally answer your question, I doubt he was being rude. But then, it is sometimes difficult to interpret the tone of an e-mail, and indeed he may have had the same problem with the e-mail you sent to him.

Why not drop him another e-mail to clarify matters? If you get the same kinda feeling from his response I'll eat my Herbert Johnson fedora.

Hope this helps.

Regards
Arizona
