I've talked to a friend of mine who is one of the owners of gamesnet.net
He said he can get me an IRC channel on irc.gamesnet.com
That's not SO, good, but I get to use their software which is quite great (worth a lot).
Check out the chat we use at www.lucasgames.com
It's like that one and it's connected to IRC.
I also have some mIRC tutorials ready that could be used... Some ppl don't know what it is...
I could get working on it and we could have a chat next.... Saturday? It could be advertised here and in Indy World news.
I bet lots of ppl would show up.
(For the record that chat I as talking about isn't the java-only chat that I currently have on Indy World just sitting there)
