Praise for the Alden 405's

Well I've had these for about a month & a half & must say that I have
never been complimented as much for any pair of shoes than these. This
is one of the few pieces of gear that is not really open to debate.
The only controversy surrounding them is price. I was skeptical about
shelling out the dough to get these at first. But I've never heard
anyone that actually had a pair complain too much about the price. The
quality of the boots is hard to convey. It feels like wearing two
mini-tanks on your feet. The anti-gearheads are always talking about
"going on real adventures". I would dare say that a person is
ill-equipped to embark on those "adventures" without these. Regards
