To Master-X regarding straw hats

Hi, I didn't think you'd see my reply all the way down there so I'm
posting a new message:

I've actually seen brown straw hats down at the store- I thought it
was actually a different kind of strawthan the classic yellow or
white in "Panama" hats. Are you sure a marker is the right way to
go? What about some kind of straw equivalent of leather
conditioner, if there is such a thing, or some kind of mink oil?
Maybe sun will dazrtken it. Well, anyway, you're the expert. I really
know nothing about straw, maybe someone else here could
chime in. It just seems to me like permanent marker is a lot of
trouble and it may not even be evenly colored.

What actually concerns me more than the color is being able to
get the Raiders pinch in the hat without snapping the straw!}

Anyway, please keep us posted as I'm anxious to see what
happens. Any pics are appreciated.
