I remember watching the series in its original run. My opinion was that the episodes about the young Indy were better than the Flanery episodes. The little kid was pretty cool. I'm waiting for those to come out on video. Also, part of the appeal of the stories was the introductions and conclusions done by the old Indy with the eye patch. If Lucas had included these with the videos it would have been better.
A better marketing technique also would have been for "Mystery of the Blues" to have been included with the box set instead of Peacock's Eye. At least that episode has Ford in it and might have hooked more people to buy them.
