Disney's "Atlantis" inspired by Indy?

      On pages 65-66 of the June, 2001 issue of Premiere magazine, there was a little article on Disney's upcoming animated film Atlantis: The Lost Empire that included:

      "We talked about films like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Wars, and wanted to do that in animation," says [co-director Gary] Trousdale, who spent three years working on a six-minute scene in which Milo's submarine battles a lobsterlike monster guarding the gates to Atlantis.

      Wow... twenty years later, and the Indiana Jones films are still influencing cinema today! :)
