Pepsi sponsored the givaway stuff, including fanny packs, posters, etc. My 'official' LC fedora also had a 'Pepsi/Indiana Jones' pin on the ribbon.

Pepsi has long been involved with Paramount films; anyone remember the commecial that came with the 'Top Gun' video back in the mid-80s?

: I believe the commercial was for Diet Coke. A man and a woman are on the couch enjoying the movie and the woman leaves to get some refreshments. After the woman faces several indyesque (I'm making these words up as I go along) challenges on the way from her couch to her kitchen, she pulls a Diet Coke from her fridge and takes a big swallow. The old knight tells her she has chosen wisely. A suppose if she chose a Pepsi she would have ended up like Donovan.
