I think that George Lucas may very well have been aware of Baron Samedi in Live and Let Die. Lucas was admittedly inspired by the Bond movies.
As for me saying that Mola Ram is Baron Samedi, what on earth made you think I was totally serious? I was just comparing superficial similarities. I'll leave the serious hokum discussion to experts like you. ;)
