Racist????

I think your observations are mostly reading into it too much. I never knew the fat kid was Jewish until I read this post.

Besides, the Hispanic maid just didn't know English very well. That hardly constitutes racism. Sure the Asian kid (played by the ever lovable Short Round!) couldn't pronounce every English word right, but so does just about every immigrant whose first language isn't English and is just learning it who comes to North America.

Especially with Steven Spielberg producing the movie, I don't think anything racist was intended (whether it came off that way or not...).
