I don't have a Wested for comparison, but I've tried on both and to me the Expedition has a slight edge in the accuracy department as well as being roomier, and thus more comfortable. Lamb is true to the original, although mine is goat because I was worried about lamb's durability (hey, it's not often I have $400 to blow on a jacket, so I wanted to make sure it would last). The goat is lightweight enough to pass for lamb, in my mind. It's definitely a lightweight jacket, though not as 'drape-tastic' (as Asutin Powers would put it) as lambskin. If you want to be completely authentic, make sure you specify a nickel zipper, otherwise the zipper will be brass. Other than that, I can only say that I'm completely satisified that I own an authentic-looking 'Raiders' jacket, and I wear it at every opportunity, even in 80-degree Missouri weather.
