If you want the "look," wear it in the rain. Get those nice creases in it where your body moves with it. Slide under trucks and dirt ski behind them.
If you ask for my humble advice, just give your jacket time. It'll mean that much more to you when you fondly recall the time you ran through downtown hell (no, not Detroit) in it as you lovingly apply some saddle soap.
And if you're authenticating your jacket with the truck method or otherwise, let's be careful out there.
