This talk of "alternate courses of history" centering on WWII reminds me
of the classic "Star Trek" episode "The City on the Edge of Forever" - BUT I DIGRESS!!
Regarding "Raiders," you can make the case that, when we see the Ark being
transported, and the insingnia gets "fried" (presumably by the Man upstairs),
that sabotages the suspense, 'cause we now know that the Nazis are doomed
to failure, regardless of what Indy does. A nitpicking point, to be sure,
but that's what these forums are for.
