True enough, one man can only do so much. But when it's the possible fate of the world on the line, any one person with a shred of heroism in his or her body isn't going to cop out like that.
Besides, if you were to change the course of one thing (say Indy wasn't there), who is to say for sure what would have come out of the whole ordeal?
I for one say Hoo-Jah for Indy, and all those like him.
