: Personally, I agree with Fall Guy. Science and religion are two approaches for understanding the world. In science everything must have evidence, and at any moment we must accept that new evidence will come along to disprove what we thought we knew. Religion is based on faith, something that can't be proven or disproven. I believe that both can peacefully coexist as they focus on completely separate domains. Religion has nothing to say about how to design a better airplane or how to calculate the force of gravity. Science has nothing to say about the existence of souls or how to treat other people.

: As for Indy, he is obviously a man of science who is very skeptical by nature. However, he sees many things which could be considered evidence for some type of spirituality. But, Indy lives in a fictional world and those of us in the real world don't have it so easy.
