I'm somewhat older (31) and I really do feel that way. I have done a FEW
things -- I served 5 years in the Air Force, jumped out of an
airplane once, lived in Hawaii a few years, crewed on a boat and
sailed in the Kenwood Cup, visited the Netherlands,
went on a hitchhiking odyssey to Mount Rushmore, worked as a piano player
at the Minneosta Club...

I've been an armed security guard, a flight attendant,
a graphic designer, a radio announcer, and a closed captioning editor...

I've gotten married, had a baby, and even had a
cartoon published in the Saturday Evening Post.

But I recently bought a fedora and a Flight Suits jacket, and
I sorta feel like a big-time pretender when I put 'em on, 'cause I think
"Geez, I look like a swashbuckling archaeologist, only I work in a
frickin' RESTAURANT..." Indy was a PhD and I don't even have an Associate's.
Yeah, he's a fictional character and all, but still...

So I'm determined to go back to school and get a career.
(Aw, wouldn't you know it -- SMSU doesn't seem to have a
'swashbuckling archaeologist' degree program...
maybe I'll just become a grave robber and save on tuition.)
