Two new interesting books and author talks, if anyone will be in Seattle area.

On Wednesday, June 6th at 7:30 Charles Gallenkamp will be presenting
his new book, Dragon Hunter: Roy Chapman Andrews and the Central Asiatic Expedition. Here is the first account of the real life "Indiana Jones"--the gun-toting, snake-hating explorer who discovered the velociraptor and Mongolia's flaming cliffs. It is the story of an epic search for dinosaurs and extinct mammals cloaked in a sweeping historical narrative. This event will take place in Kane Hall, Rm. 220. Tickets are required for this event. Free tickets can be obtained at any branch of UBS.

Finally, James C. Chatters is coming with his book, Ancient Encounters: The Kennewick Man and the First Americans. This is the controversial first hand account by the scientist who made the discovery--of how a nearly complete 9,500 year old skeleton found near Kennewick, Washington is shedding new light on who came to the Americas before the Native Americans. This event will take place on Thursday, June 21st, at 7:00 PM in Kane Hall, Walker Ames Rm. Tickets are required for this event.
Free tickets can be obtained at any branch of UBS beginning June 1st.

And yes, I want an Alison Doody head.
