Basically the same, but perhaps a bit easier. I primed mine in flat black, as well, topped with a steel gray. There is a brand of paint, for the life of me I can't remember what it's called, that is meant to give model cars the translucent paint jobs of the newer models. I used a gloss black, dry brushed in the high lights and sealed the whole thing with polyurathane. You can then use dull cote (Testors, I believe) to dull the sides of the barrel, cylinder and grips where it might show signs of wear. Any hobby store worth its salt in the model car area should have the paint I mentioned.
