Then again, in French they wouldn't pronounce the d at the end of Pecard (or Picard). So it would really be Captain Pe-kah (or Pee-kah). The ending would sound similar to the last syllable in Micah. Which sounds like what people say in Boston: "Wheah is my cah?" :p
