Maybe it has something to do with the actor's strike? Perhaps Paramount is concerned that should shooting begin anytime soon, they could stand to lose A LOT of money if a strike happens...Not only that, but what does Paramount have coming out in the next few years?
Is it possible they wouldn't want to go up against Star Wars next summer, which is unlikely...
OR, maybe they want to see how Tomb Raider does so they can try and pair Lara & Jonesy up (ahem)...
