: Has anybody wore their Aldens on a longer-than-20min hike? I wore mine today while visiting a historical site where I did a substantial amount of walking over various surfaces, IE concrete, gravel, dirt, etc., and after a while my feet started to feel a little sore.

: Has anyone else experienced sore feet initially with Aldens? Is this maybe still part of the "breaking-in" process, or are Aldens not the best shoe choice to wear while doing more than a normal day's walking?
: In other words, if I were to take a trek through the South American jungle in search of a lost idol should I leave the Aldens at home?

My Aldens feel like a pair of big cumfy slippers.
I often wear them as my summer walking boots, the only reason they dont do hard yards in winter is the tongue design(not stitched).
If the Aldens are new and you are not used to a traditional boot like this it may take some getting used to.
I am sure they will come good.
