80s were pretty great in their own strange way!

But when you compare it to the 60s and the 70s, it can start to look dull in a way.

Does being 7 when the 80's ended count as growing up in the 80's? :p

Anyways, here's my "influences" (most of which I became acquainted with after the 80s):

Film: E.T., Indy (duh), The Goonies, Back to the Future, etc.

Books: "Travels" by Michael Crichton

Bands: U2, The Police, The Clash (though most of their best stuff was in the late-70s, they were starting to lose it with "Combat Rock"), Guns N Roses

TV: It's gotta be "Perfect Strangers", "The Cosby Show" and "Wonder Years"!

Comics: didn't really read much comics, but does "Peanuts" and "Calvin and Hobbes" count?
