Temple of the Forbidden Eye question

Hello IndyFans!

For those of you who have been on the adventure, do you guys know what the smell of fear exactly is? When you take that left after looking into the eyes of Mara and he lifts the transport toward the Gates of Doom. The gates are the doors that Indy is trying to hold shut and he tells you to go to the left. It smells like burning paper to me. Everybody should know what I am talking about or at least those of you who went on the ride. Everyone have a good one!
