Being the kritik I am sometimes ;) I agree with you on the objective part. But since each person views and makes their judgements on art in individual and subjective ways, it is very difficult to judge "objectively" unless they specify exactly what they are looking for. Rather, I would suggest incorporating more judges to rate the art- people who did not contribute any pieces. That way, it isn't only a two way debate about the benefits of choosing one work over another.

It certainly seems that the more this year's art showcase is discussed, the more that the Indyfan community wants to see your piece as No. 1. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to that.
