WHAT IF (I hate to sound negative but I know this'll never happen) but WHAT IF the post office decided to do a stamp to honor archeology? Since it has contributed greatly to our society. You know the fact that we wouldn't have much in the sense of history without it but we can go out and buy all the stamps our little hearts desire that honor blue jays and robins. Sorry I'm rambling . . .
(don't mean to offend any bird lovers out there) But let's say they do it. Do you think Indiana Jones would be a great visual to use for the proffession. If so, what picture/image do you feel would do it justice. And if not Indy's image, what would be good for archeology?
So far, I'm pretty sold on Ed's entry for the art contest. If you took out the 'Raiders' you get the silloutte (my spelling is horrible)of Indy but also the guys digging. I like that representation for archeology.
