Flies move rather rapidly. They go from 0-25 mph in what? 1/10 of a second? Anyway, the film runs at a rate of 24 frames per second through the camera. If the fly takes off, it will just streak away with little visual evidence. It's just too damn fast.

: Does anyone know if the fly flys into the mouth of Belloq as He looks up at Indy towards the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark? You can definitely hear a distinct buzzing sound. It seems odd though that Belloq did not flinch or do anything. Could this have just been added to have a little funny spot in the movie? Thank you very much and Long Live Indiana Jones!!!
