Opening scene - it could be the climax of a movie that would then be considered an action-adventure classic.
Flying wing - I just like the way the whole scene unfolds, with the leisurly rotating plane creating a series of hazards.
Then, like there wasn't enough to worry about, the wing lops off a gas cap, and now a flammable liquid is racing
towards the plane. This is the type of action scene that's almost "witty," if that makes any sense (but that's true of
a lot of Spielberg's action sequences).
BTW, as I understand it, the truck chase scene is all second-unit direction, based on Spielberg's storyboards.
