Just got off the phone with Kathy Falcon.

The new shipment of Chrome SealBrown Goat just arrived!!!!
But wait -- there's more.

While constructing a Historical M-422A, yesterday, it was discovered that the leather was not colored (tanned) properly as the brown "peeled" away slightly when stenciling in an emblem under the collar. Because of this, Dave Marshell ordered that the entire 3,000 yard shipment be sent back and that to send FS a new 3,000 yard role.

She said he's picky and even though there are a lotta people waiting on the new seal chrome, not just Expo customers, he did not want FS and his name associated with a hide that he new to be not up to company specifications.

I guess it's bad news but also good news in that it gives me yet further evidence that FS settles for nothing and stamps their name with only the best.

PS- Kathy said that this "accident" happens more than the paying public realizes. Usually the manufacturer of the hides that are defective are sold at a discount to companies that do not have as high of standards as the top teir companies...Bloomingdales, Wilsons, London Fog, etc.

In this instance, however, word is that this defective shipment is being picked up by Wested at a steal!!!

Sorry, absolutely could not resist that one.

Happy Hunting!
