To Patterson or Chris King

On the ToD film jacket, exactly what sort of buckle is on the pleat straps? Is it a pronged buckle, or simply one buckle that does the same job as two D-rings by wedging the straps together? I'm getting my US Wings altered in the sleeves and may get the D-rings switched out. Can you even draw a picture or something describing it? Chris King's photo on MK's page just doesn't make it very clear.
