On another note, it was mentioned here that Francois Truffaut would make an excellent Belloq. I agree wholeheartedly! Paul Freeman's fake French accent was questionable at times.

: For his first line he seems to have some kind of a Mick Jagger British accent ("Jock! There's a big snake in the plane!" "Ow, that's jahst moy pit snyke Reggih!"). But for his second line he sounds like Bugs Bunny ("I hate snakes, Jock! I hate 'em!" "Cumm oahn, sho a liddle backbone, will yaz?"). I believe in the "Illustrated Screenplay" he's described as "the British Pilot." Maybe he just watched too many Bowery Boys movies...
