: I've heard several discussions on this forum about what exactly Indy's beliefs are. After watching LC again this past weekend, it occurred to me that none of us really know. At the end of the movie when they are standing outside the temple, Indy and Dad talk about Elsa. Dad says, "She thought she found the prize". Indy replies, "What did you find"? he answers, "Illumination". Dad then asks Indy and as Indy goes to answer, he is interupted by Sala and they never go back to the subject.

: I think a great subplot for an Indy 4 would be allowing Indy to discover what he does believe and allowing the audience to witness his discovery. Think about it...Someone discovers all of these "Magical" things but has no belief. I find that the hardest to believe of all.

I would have to agree with you. Being a Christian myself, I would love to see Indy become more established in his beliefs. But that's not very politically correct these days (especially being that true Christianity is a very narrow belief- and I mean that in a positive way :-)
