Indiana Jones films aren't supposed to be theology movies and I enjoy the fact that we don't really know what his beliefs are. For all we know, he could be an unorthodox Jew! Let's leave it that way...


: I've heard several discussions on this forum about what exactly Indy's beliefs are. After watching LC again this past weekend, it occurred to me that none of us really know. At the end of the movie when they are standing outside the temple, Indy and Dad talk about Elsa. Dad says, "She thought she found the prize". Indy replies, "What did you find"? he answers, "Illumination". Dad then asks Indy and as Indy goes to answer, he is interupted by Sala and they never go back to the subject.

: I think a great subplot for an Indy 4 would be allowing Indy to discover what he does believe and allowing the audience to witness his discovery. Think about it...Someone discovers all of these "Magical" things but has no belief. I find that the hardest to believe of all.
