Again, my understanding was that exchanges between this person and Lucasfilms had gone on for some time, and they guy outright refused to change the way he did business. Being a fan is one thing, but to make money off of somebody else’s' unique IP is stealing. SW IP is unique and vastly different from what we play with out here in Indyland.

While I feel for the guy personally, he's not playing by the rules set out to protect the artists who came up with those designs for a living. Lucasfilms may collect royalties and licensing fees, but they in turn pay the artists. For a third party to step in and gear this up commercially is not something I'd defend.
