: I've noticed, without exception, that everytime someone is in the process of destroying a perfectly good jacket with your sandpaper and your fullers dirt and manure and lye and whatever the hell you idiots put on you jackets, that when you mention puting them in the dryer you say NO HEAT. Not just no heat. But NO HEAT. Capatalized, frequently exclamated!!!! Just crank that heat up boys. It helps age the jackets. What are you afraid of? Destroying it more?

...I'm in NO way a fan of this practice (and documentation is all through the vaults if you want to check (grins), but the jacket can be somewhat "restored" with Pecards on the distressed seams, cleaned of fuller earth, but once a jacket gets shrunk in a hot dryer, you CAN'T get the size back. "Caps" are a good idea when that statement is made. Regards. Michaelson
