There is something I read about, years ago, called the "Spear of Longinus" (SP?) It was believed to be the spear that pierced the side of Jesus when He was on the cross. If I recall correctly, Hitler desperately wanted this spear because of supposed magical properties. The spear itself had an interesting history. Sorry, but I don't have any links.
