I have never been to Egypt, but Tanis is in the delta, and in Raiders they went through some serious mountains when leaving the dig.
Also, I have heard that the game of tennis was so named because it was invented by the Egyptians and played at Tanis, tennis being a corruption of the city's name. If so, then I wonder what kind of a backhand Shishak had! Did thay have a Karnak Open?
