The biggest problem w/ Last Crusade was that Indy spent less time as Indy(lion tamer uniform) than either of the other films. True, it was a rehash of Raiders. But the problem lies in what was happening on screen, Dr. Jones fumbling about in a (GAG!!) suit and tie?!? Also, sharing the lime-light with Sean Connery is a difficult thing to do. I realize that Sean tried to make himself as dorky as possible, but it just didn't work for me. Maybe if they had chosen a different actor but we will never know. If(it looks pretty bad at the moment) they make a fourth film, I hope it is a vast departure from LC & Raiders like Temple was - with fresh faces and exotic locations, not just another stinking desert. The rival archeologist thing has been done before - we need something fresh.
