First, the main difference in the cowhide that Peter is using now from what he has used in the past, is that this is just the best I have ever seen. And I have/had access to several in the past-all of them cowhide-and this stuff just tops them all. I currently have a Raiders jacket in the "slightly distressed" condition to which you refer-it just BARELY has the surface "shine" taken off the leather. Just enough to dull up the finish and give it some GREAT highlights in places.

Now, let me make one suggestion. I have the cotton lining in the body of the jacket, and satin in the sleeves. This is a great solution to the problem you have, as the cotton is alot tougher and less prone to getting those holes you speak of. PLUS, I have a zipper on the inside pocket-not an "orininal" modification, just something I like on mine!

So, if it is a slightly distressed cowhide you are looking for, Peter can do it! I certainly love what mine looks like! It came to me looking like it jumped off the screen onto my back!
