Personally, I like that idea. Tying YIJC to what most people consider to be the true Indy canon has been difficult (because the two characters of Indy seem to be so different...), so I'm willing to accept this theory.

: I think the diamond at the beginning of Temple of Doom is the same diamond Indy and Remy were after in Treasure of the Peacock's Eye. Of course, I know nothing of the backstory of the ToD diamond, if there is one. Just a thought.
