Darn, I haven't played this game in ages. I think you have to find a hook on some skeleton and put it on the plug, then grab it with your whip. I'm not sure what this does, but it might help you in some way. I think it's time for me to replay this game...

: I'm stuck at the end of the catacombs in Venice right in front of a metal grating with an old rusty lock which is securing an ancient casket. I can't seem to do anything here. At the other end is a pool of water with a 'plug' and further back at a tunnel intersection is a 'slab' on the floor- but I can do nothing!!!
