You thought beavers were scary? Encounter the capybara! Let's get down to some details:
We're talking about a 120 pound rat that is 2 feet tall and four feet long. That's a furry rat the size of a pig! No wonder that it's sometimes called a waterhog (I found out some time ago that the waterhog driving gloves I own are made from that particular beast). Did I mention the capybara has a nakd rat tail? It's a greyish pink. The SF zoo has a bunch of capybaras. Not to mention Antoine Le BLanc, the white alligator with the blue eyes (I kid you not!)...

PS: People in Venezuela eat those giant rats. Do they taste just like hare?
