The scream actually dates back to a 1950s Western film, if I remember correctly.

Also, did you catch Charlton Heston's cameo AS an ape? In his death scene, he even made an anti-gun statement! How did they trick the old fool? :p

: Just got back from it. They use the distinctive RotLA punch sound effect in some fight scenes. You'll recognize it. We all know it. We all love it. The sound effect for the big German mechanic using Indy has his personal punching bag. You can also hear the recycled scream that originated in Star Wars and wormed its way multiple times in Return of the Jedi, Raiders, Temple, Batman Returns, Toy Story, Spaceballs, and the Little Mermaid II. See Planet of the Apes. It was really good. I really didn't like the ending but it is very interesting. Leaves you with a lot to think about.
