Concerning the compatibility of a DVD player with an old TV (I saw the post and I'm too lazy to read through all the responses): My TV is 15 years old and is working beautifully with my DVD player. What it requires is something more than simply an adapter; there's a device called an "RF Modulator" (If I remember correctly), that can be had for around $30. You can pick one up at a place like Radio Shack (And, while you're there, you can get shirt-and-tie tips from those fashion plates working behind the counter!). So, once your DVD is up-and-running, you may not be able to see a little rinky-dink Spielberg picture like "Raiders," but can thrill to the more deserving masterpieces like 1941 and Hook (sarcasm) in all their DVD glory! Who wants Indy on DVD when you can watch Slim Pickens pretending to have a bowel movement :-q?!
