...I can only say that if that hat WAS the same one for a 20 year period, it's a miraculous felt indeed! I've never had a fur felt hat last for more than 5 years of hard outside use, or at least one of the same softness and quality material as his. Sure, they can be cleaned and reblocked, but eventually the felt does start to break down, and only after serious reconstruction can one be continuously rebuilt. If we are to believe that his fedora is the one that he got from "Fedora" at the beginnin of Last Crusade, then he did indeed HAVE to have it reworked over the years, as the blocking is completely different. Fedora's hat had a tear drop shaped top of the crown, where Indy wore his fore to aft bash. You can see this clearly when Fedora places it on Indy's head. My Federation is in this configuration, as I wanted one different than my others. Anyway, I'd say that Indy was true to his "style" of hat wear, and most men were at that time, but as to it being the same hat, no, I don't believe it. Just my opinion, though, and just based on what I've experienced. Regards. Michaelson

: As Last Crusade points out......and the Young Indy if you consider that....he wears his brown fedora constantly. Yes in Raiders he wore the gray one but thats the only time in all the movies. In Crusade he wears his battered brown even when he's at the school if you notice....and in the books if you consider those too its the same hat.
: From what I'm assuming from all these put together he has worn the same hat for at least 20 or so years...and the jacket part of that time. Impossible for what he does, I know but there you have it.
