Yes Mark

It runs in DOS without a boot disk but without mouse movement.
If I use a boot disk the same thing happens.

I have 128 mb ecc ram

You know how to edit the autoexec.bat or the config.sys files
so there is more memory or you know how to load the mouse drivers in DOS?
:
: Actually, if you don't need a boot disc in DOS and the game runs ok, then your Virtual Memory should be ok. Therefore, if it freezes in Windows, but runs smoothly in DOS, WITHOUT a boot disc, this sounds like a lack of RAM. Windows and other running programs uses a ton of it, Win98 probably more so. The first Monkey island probably doesn't need as much RAM as Monkey2.
