Do you suppose if Spielberg and Lucas were the original envisioners of James Bond or Batman or Superman or any other mystical action series that they could have turned them into 1) fresh and exciting movies every time 2) box office hits every time and 3) critically acclaimed movies every time, just like Indy's movies?

Just something from left field (sorry, been stuck home sick for two days and my mind's wandering).
