I was around for all the original releases, and you're absolutely right, the original trailers before the release gave you so little information, we really didn't have a clue what the heck the subject matter was actually about. Honestly, speaking of both SW AND (gasp) Raiders, I had absolutely NO interest in seeing either one based on the original titles and theatrical trailers I had see. I have my sister and best friend to thank (or blame) for finally going to see them. As I recall, my sister even offered to buy my popcorn and a drink if I would only go to Raiders.
