A kiddie cartoon? Not hardly...

Paramount made STAR TREK into a cartoon series in the early '70's. It was intellegently written, and featured the voices of the origional cast. Although it only lasted one season, it helped keep interest in STAR TREK alive, and was probably instrumental in bringing about the 1st movie. And the rest, as they say is history. On top of that, you should check out some of the better cartoons, ie. the aforementioned Superman (and it was in the '90's), Batman, Batman Beyond, and a classic, Gargoyles. Not only was the animation excellent (almost up to Japanese Anime standards), but I found plot and character development to better quite a bit better then the drivel the networks were passing off as must see TV, etc...
