I don't consider Temple a cinematic masterpiece, just good cheap fun. Raiders on the other hand is a masterpiece in my book, right up there with Treasure of the Sierra Madre and the Wild Bunch. Cheers

: But who else should be too hard on the movie other than the ones who are dedicated fans and have devoted a great deal of their time to all things Indy. It is hard not to watch it with a critical eye since everyone here has gone way past the point of viewing it for the first time (or first ten times for that matter). I think the reason movies like Indiana Jones have such a large fanbase that is dedicated to them after so many years of very little new offerings is because they excel at what they are- movies you can watch over and over again and still retain that sense of excitement when you saw it the first few times. Unfortunately, for me, Temple doesn't do that for me anymore whereas Raiders and Last Crusade continue to.

: You had a good point though. (But in my book, Temple doesn't even get a bronze- it barely makes my top ten movies)

: The Barkeep.
